TOPIC: The Witch’s Familiar

Numerous historical accounts exist that describe witches building a special magical relationship with a familiar spirit. Sometimes the familiar takes the form of an animal, a plant, or a human. We’ll gather and discuss both some lore and actual modern experiences of encountering your familiar, and collaborating with them as magical guides and protectors when travelling between the worlds.
Note that in our discussion we will distinguish between living animal companions and spirits/familiars with whom the magic worker forms a working relationship. Our focus will be primarily on the latter.
